The new milennium was a very uncertain time for much of the world. Doomsdayers touted that Y2K would result in the end of civilization and quickly transformed their basements into fallout shelters. Coinciding to their pending doom, I was working on ways of getting esablished, and it didn't take long for this over-sexed twenty-six year old to focus on the world of pornography. Physically, I defined the word twink. Socially, I defined the word naivete! Using the name Tim Taylor, my first job was for the BDSM magazine Bound & Gagged in their film division. Bob Wingate, the film's director, was very kind over the course of the shoot, and as we parted ways he assured me that I will "make it far" in the business. I admit that I hadn't believed his comment, but it appears that I should have.
My first bareback film, 'Raw Auditions, was filmed by Hot Desert Knights in early 2002. As soon as we had finished filming my last scheduled scene, I ran back to my hotel room to play with Falcon model and overall hottie Sam Dixon. As we were getting dressed, Sam made the comment that I should have agent representation, and the moment I stepped off the plane back home in Raleigh I received a call from super-agent Dak King.
Over the next two decades, my success was made possible, in part, by Dak. From being a Freshmen Magazine centerfold (June, 2003) to working with major studios like Pacific Sun Entertainment and Jet Set. However, there was one aspect of Dak's representation I abhorred, which was the required use of condoms. In those days a line had been drawn in the sand dividing condom studios from the newly popular bareback studios, and it was clear which side of that line my agent stood. This realization encouraged me to go behind Dak's back and continue self-booking bareback jobs. Obviously I was jeopardizing my entire career by working both sides of the line, but I didn't get into the business to wear condoms! I was young, wanted to have fun, and I wanted to do it all without condoms! This, I feel, made me one of the first models to accept work both with and without condoms.
It wsn't until I appeared in Treasure Island Media's 'Dawson's 20 Load Weekend' (2004) that I became nervous of the situation. In fact, Director Max Sohl and I had an entire phone conversation regarding concerns for my professional future. As a result, I ultimately decided to use another name: Ryan.
More than fifteen years have since passed, and except for a couple years out of the limelight I am still in the adult industry...and still winning awards. In fact, it wasnt't until fairly recently that I won one of my most prized awards: The 2020 Raven's Eden for "Best Bareback Performer!" This award is special to me for three primary reasons: (1) It validates me as a performer in my craft; (2) It places me on a short list of big names including Antonio Biaggi (2012, 2014), Dolf Dietrich (2016), and Brian Bonds (2018); and (3) The award's recipient is decided upon YOUR votes!
Well, that is the abridged version of my life as an adult model. Quite literally, stories could be told that woud last the entire week for me to compose. Realistically, the adult world shall remain a part of my life, not because I am unnfit to perform any other job or skill, but because this is what I love doing. So as I close this message, it is important for me to extend a simple thank you to everyone who provided support over the past two decades. If you guys hadn't been there for me then I would have found another profession a very long time ago!
